Lesley Nicklason, fourth generation Pyengana resident and mother of three has been charged with trespass on the Anchor Road coupe on 15 April 2004.
Defendant was arraigned on 3rd June at St. Helens and on the advice of J. Avery, Q.C., acting pro bono publico, entered a plea of not guilty. Case was set over for further proceedings on July 7, 2004.

I grew up in Pyengana, at the foot of the Blue Tier. I have the best memories of roaming around the Tier as a child, listening to my father's stories of the time he spent living up there and working on the Anchor Mine in the late 1930's.
I want the Blue Tier (all of it - foothills and all) kept just as it is - protected as a place where future generations can come and experience the peace and quiet - to relax and reconnect with nature.
Go and sit on Mt. Poimena or Australia Hill and look out at that view. Sit by the Groom River - at a waterfall or by the peaceful upper reaches.
Hug a tree - or stand inside one: visit the Blue Tier Giant.
Sit quietly in the bush and listen to the birds singing.
Smell the sassafras.
Breathe in the pure air.
Poke around in the leaf litter and check out the critters.
Discover fungi of every imaginable colour and shape.
All this could be gone .....
That's why I'm making a stand.
