Out of the Blue Two is a sound and visual collaborative artwork between Lila Meleisea and Lorraine Biggs based on a year's work focusing on the Blue Tier Forest in North East Tasmania.
The title of the main work is Deep Dark, oil paint on canvas and measures 153 cm high x 380 cm wide.
This work goes with Lila Meleisea's 70 minute sound track that records her footfall throughout the Blue Tier Giant track and includes sounds within the forest such as the birds and river flow. Lila has overlayed this with her own composition with kora, horn and mbira.
Further to this there are six more soundscapes and twelve matching drawings looking at various elements of this Blue Tier area: 'Earth', 'Light', 'Air', 'Rainforest', 'River' and 'Breeze'.
A CD compliments this show.
